NLSFUNC COMMAND


Purpose:  Loads country-specific information "on the fly".

Syntax:   NLSFUNC [[drive:][path]filename] [/L]

          filename - specifies the file containing country-specific
                     information,
          /L       - loads the resident code into the low memory not
                     using HMA.

Type:     External command

Note:
     The default name of the file, containing country-specific information
is "\COUNTRY.SYS". It is defined by the COUNTRY configuration command.

Description:
     The command specifies the resident code, that allows to change
dynamically the code page, for example with the help of the internal DOS
command CHCP (Change Code Page).
