VOL (Volume) COMMAND

Purpose:   Displays the volume label for the specified drive.

Syntax:    VOL [d:]
           where d: is a drive.

Type:      Internal command

     If the drive is not specified, the default drive is assumed.

Examples:

1.     A>vol

displays the volume label for drive A:. The following information will be
on the screen:

       Volume in drive A is MYDISK
       Volume Serial Number is 3ABC-0007
       A>

or, if there is no label on this volume:

       Volume in drive A has no label
       Volume Serial Number is 353D-17ED
