TAGGING FILES AND SUBDIRECTORIES
Sometimes you may need to perform similar operations with several files
or subdirectories. For such occasions CP has options of file and
subdirectory tagging (don't confuse it with SELECT, which selects only one
file or a subdirectory!). So-called "group" file operations are performed
with the files and subdirectories you tagged. The indication of a tagged
file or subdirectory is its name displayed on the screen in yellow color
while in the color mode or an asterisk following the file name extension in
the monochrome mode. The pull-down menu contains the submenu for file and
subdirectory tagging. The submenu includes 6 items:
Toggle
Invert
Tag files
Untag files
Compare panels
Show tagged files
The list of keys that are used to tag files and subdirectories is given
in section Main menu keyboard reference.
