This option is very convenient for editing a new file. When using
this option a panel appears on the screen where you may specify the file
name for editing. To edit the file that was specified:
1) Select the "edit named" item in the "File" menu.
2) Press the keys [Shift-F4].
3) Press and hold the key [Shift], move the mouse cursor to the line "F4
Edit .." in the prompt panel and press the mouse left button.
In the panel that appears on the screen you should type in the name of
the desired file. You may use the menu for editing lines in panels.
Therefore, when you load the CP editor the file with the specified name
is loaded as well from the current directory of the current drive. If the
file with the specified name is not found then a new file will be opened. If
you specify the file name without extension you MUST put the period after
the file name. You may also edit and create files in directories other than
the current directory of Panel A in which case you should specify the whole
path to the file.
You should keep in mind that the CP built-in editor is loaded for
editing specified files regardless what is specified in the extension file.
