EDITING LINES IN PANELS
When copying, moving, erasing files and subdirectories, entering a
volume label name and performing other operations you may use the menu for
editing lines in panels. To do this:
1) Press [F9] when entering a line, or
2) Place the mouse cursor on the top line of CP's screen and press the
mouse button.
The line editing menu consists of three items;
- "Edit",
- "Paste",
- "Other".
You can select items in the menu and submenu in the same way as you do
in the pull-down menu.
EDITING
The "Edit" submenu contains five items:
Start of line [Home] - move the cursor to the beginning of the line
in the panel (You can also move the mouse
cursor to the beginning of the line and
press the left button.)
End of line [End] - move the cursor to the end of the line
(Mouse: Move the mouse cursor to the end of
the line and press the left button.)
Backspace [Backspc] - delete the character to the left of the
cursor in the line of the panel
Delete char [Del] - delete the character under the cursor
Clear line [Ctrl-L] - clear the line in the panel
PASTING
The "Paste" submenu contains the following items to accelerate
the input of lines in the panels:
path A [Ctrl-A] - copy the path of the current directory of
Panel A to the line
path B [Ctrl-B] - copy the path of the current directory of
Panel B to the line
1 - file a [Ctrl-Enter] - copy the selected file of Panel A to the
line
2 - file b [Ctrl-K] - copy the selected file of Panel B to the
line
Source path [Ctrl-^] - copy the source path containing CP to the
line
While editing lines in panels you can copy to the panel the
preceding/following line from the history of introduced lines (up to
10 lines):
Copying preceding/following line - [Ctrl-E]/[Ctrl-X]
OTHER
The "Other" submenu contains three items:
Accept line [Enter] - (To accept line you may also move the mouse
cursor to the cursor in the line panel and press
the left button.
Cancel [Esc] - quit the panel (Mouse: press the mouse right
button.)
Help [F1] - invoke the help feature.
