VIEWING FILES
For the sake of convenience the CP shell is equipped with a view
feature. The viewing program has the following options:
VIEWING ASCII FILES
VIEWING ARCHIVES
VIEWING GRAPHICS DATA FILES
VIEWING DATABASES
VIEWING EXE AND COM FILES
To invoke the programm press thr keys [F3] or [Shift-F3]. (See
sections "View" and "View named"). The specified ("named") file will be
viewed in ASCII-format regardless of its extension.
The CP distribution diskette contains the applications ARCHVIEW.COM,
BASEVIEW.COM, GRAFVIEW.COM and EXEVIEW.COM needed to view archives, data
bases, graphic images and executable files. To view specific files using
these programs the CP directory must contain the file CPVIEW.EXT. This
particular file must be written by the user. See Chapter "Extension Files"
on how to write extension files.
