LotLAN NETWORK RESOURCES
A server resource is any of its logical drives or directories. The
other resourse is SPOOLDIR, used to direct the network printer.
Drive/directory-type resource is to be used by the work station That
is, it cannot be accessed by network users until described as resource.
Even after a drive or directory is described as a resourse it is still
possible to regulate access rights for different work stations.
The resource description includes its name (8 characters) and its true
name (the path to the resource in the server. In other words, for the
resource corresponding to drive D: - name DDRIVE and path D:, or for the
resource corresponding to directory D:\ACCOUNT - name ACCOUNT and path
D:\ACCOUNT.
Thus it is possible to disable access to the whole server drive (for
instance, driver D:) by deleting resource DDRIVE from the resources list, or
by modifying access rights to DDRIVE resource.
The LotLAN network is flexible: you may disable access to the whole
DDRIVE resource (drive D:) but simultaneously open for access one or several
directories on this drive. For this purpose you may create a resourse
corresponding to the directory to be accessed.
